About Us
My name is Maurice Burson, and I’m the founder of this school and the owner of Barber Hussle Barbershop in St. Cloud, Minnesota. I started this journey with a simple belief: barbering can change lives. It changed mine.
After years of cutting hair, building a loyal clientele, and overcoming personal and professional obstacles, I realized our community needed more than just a place to get a cut — we needed a place to learn, grow, and build careers.
That’s why I opened Barber Hussle The School — a private, independently-owned barbering school committed to helping the next generation of barbers get licensed, skilled, and ready to succeed.
Meet Mr. Virakcheath (Virak) Hing - Instructor at

Mr. Virakcheath "Virak" Hing comes from a proud family background rooted in barbering and cosmetology, bringing over two decades of experience to the classroom. As a former State Inspector with the Minnesota Board of Barber Examiners, he understands the vital importance of maintaining the highest standards in licensing, health, and public safety.
With a deep passion for education and mentorship, Mr. Hing is dedicated to preparing the next generation of barbers for success in a modern and evolving industry.
His mission is to equip students not only with technical skills but also with professionalism, discipline, and pride in their craft.

We’re not your average school — we’re a movement. We take pride in building not just great barbers, but great people. Our students are taught the latest techniques, the fundamentals of the craft, and the mindset to turn passion into purpose.
This school is privately funded, which means we don’t rely on state or local aid. We’re powered by hustle, community, and belief in our students. To enroll, students must pay a $100 application fee, and tuition must be fully paid to receive certification and take the Barber Board Exam.
